  • What is Bidryde?
    Bidryde is a car-sharing marketplace where you can book any car you want and at the same time, host any car you have. Reservations are made through the mobile app. We deliver and collect cars from your doorstep, so that you can spend time on more important thing--your ride! The doorstep delivery and collection of cars is our standard way of serving our customers, and it's available throughout Bidryde's service areas.
  • What type of vehicles does Bidryde provide?
    Bidryde has a wide range of cars to choose from in Hatchbacks, Sedans, SUVs and MUVs.
  • Do the vehicles have manual or automatic transmission?
    Yes, we have both types of vehicles. Please choose the one that meets your needs while selecting your vehicle.
  • What is the process for making a reservation with Bidryde?
    Our online mobile application makes it easy to book a car on-the-go! Just select the start and end time for your reservation. Now place a bid for your desired vehicle and wait for counter bids to find the best deal. Then enter the location you want it delivered, complete your payment through credit or debit card or upi and you are ready to ride!
  • Is it possible to book a one-way trip with Bidryde?
    No, the vehicle must be handed over to delivery partner at the pickup location.
  • Is there any specific minimum or maximum booking period?
    The minimum reservation period is eight hours for a booking. Reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance.
  • What is Peak Season? Are the prices different during Peak Season?
    Peak season refers to the festive periods of the year when demand is high. Our hourly rental rates are different for weekdays (Mon-Fri), weekends (Sat-Sun) and the Peak Season. The dates and prices for the Peak Season are dynamically decided based on the demand.
  • Is there a km limit to how much I can drive?
    We offer UNLIMITED KILOMETERS irrespective of the booking duration. No additional charge will be applicable for the driven KMs.
  • Are there any travel restrictions on where I can travel?
    All Bidryde vehicles are permitted to travel anywhere in India that the car is legally permitted to ply. However, we do not permit taking our vehicles to Leh/Ladakh region, Kaza/Nako region and spiti valley. We also advise you not to take Bidryde vehicles to bad terrains (especially in non-SUV cars), areas affected by civil unrest or any other areas where your safety may be compromised.
  • Is Bidryde operational 24/7?
    Yes, we are available 24/7. However, as of now we do not allow bookings for events that start or end between 12 am to 6 am.
  • Can I take a pet along with me?
    We love pets, but many of our customers are allergic to them. So, we don't allow any pets in our Bidryde Vehicles.
  • Am I responsible for any parking or traffic violations?
    Yes, Customers must pay any fines incurred during their reservation.
  • What if I forget my belongings inside the car after my reservation ends?
    Bidryde is not responsible for your belongings left in the vehicle. Please ensure that you collect all your belongings before handing over the vehicle to the delivery partner.
  • What should I do if I am unable to apply my discount voucher?
    Please make sure that your discount voucher is still valid. If the problem still persists, please retry the process after some time.
  • Can I use two discount vouchers for same booking?
    No. You can only use one offer/promo for one booking. Using multiple offers/promos is not allowed.
  • What is bidding?
    The bidding refers to negotiation on the market price of the vehicle. You can get the car at affordable prices as the final price will be lower than the Market price.
  • What are market price, current price, bid price, counter price and final price?
    Market Price: The original price of specified cars offered by others for the selected start and end times. Current price: The price for which you can book at that point in time. Bid Price: The price you asked for. Counter price: The response price for which you asked (bid price). Final price: The lowest price at which you can book a car for that bidding sequence.
  • What is the process for placing a bid?
    After selecting the start time and end time, then you will get all the cars available in the selected time range. 1)Now click on the bid button for a desired car. 2)Enter your bid price which you think will be worthful. 3)After some time counter for your input will arrive. you can decide whether to accept it or make another bid as per the options available.
  • How much time it will take to get a counter price?
    Counters will arrive in a minute usually. But sometimes it delays more than a minute and we promise to keep it under 3 minutes.
  • How will I get to know the counter has arrived?
    We will send you a push notification, and also, we will show an unseen indication in the navigation bar. The bid is active for 12 hours, within that time you can bid again or else it will turn into an expired bid.
  • Where can I see my bids that I have placed?
    All your bids can be viewed on the bids menu page by clicking on the hammer icon in the navigation bar. The active bids tab shows you all bids which can be taken action on, while the expire bids tab will only be displayed for your reference and cannot be acted upon.
  • I submitted a bid with a reasonable price, but instead of accepting it, a counter price was given. What should I do in this situation?
    The acceptance of your bid is based on the market conditions and Host's willingness to give his/her car for that amount.
  • Is the third bid considered final, or can I place a fourth bid?
    For one sequence of bidding, you may only place a maximum of three bids linked together. If you want to bid again, start the new sequence from bid 1 through repeat bid option.
  • If I have an emergency situation, can I pay the full market price to reserve a car immediately?
    In that case, place a bid equal to the market price. You will receive a response as Accepted within a minute. Now click on Proceed to Payment. After booking is confirmed, contact us for faster delivery than usual.
  • Is it allowed to place multiple active bids on the same vehicle?
    You can have as many active bids as you like until that car was booked. You can have only two free active bids at a time. To start another bidding sequence, make a little contribution of 19 rupees to keep us running or wait for 12 hours so the active bid will get expired and new free bid will allocated.
  • If I cannot locate a particular bid in the active bid tab, what can I do to reserve that vehicle?
    In such a case, the bid would have moved to the "Expired Bid" section. You can check the reason for its expiration by looking under the bid details in the "Expired Bid" tab. To book a car, please choose another available vehicle from your active bids. If you still wish to book the same vehicle, you can bid on it again from the beginning through search.
  • What is the start check-List for my booking?
    Once your booking is confirmed, our delivery partner will bring the car to your doorstep. Before handing over the keys, the delivery partner will provide you with a start checklist outlining the car's condition at the time of delivery. Please review the details in the checklist carefully and confirm the accuracy. If any information on the checklist is incorrect, please notify the delivery partner or contact us immediately.
  • What is the end check-List for my booking?
    Upon returning the car, please complete the end checklist with the delivery partner to confirm the car's condition. If any damage or late fees apply, please make the payment for the penalties solely through the mobile application.
  • What should I do if I need to modify or extend my booking?
    Rescheduling is subject to vehicle availability. You can reschedule the booking for free prior to 9 hours prior to your start time. To reschedule the booking, log in to Bidryde Application and click on the booking you want to reschedule or contact our support team.
  • What is the process for extending the end time of my booking?
    Extensions are subject to vehicle availability and can be done before the booking end time. To extend the booking, login to Bidryde, click on Trips from the menu option and select the booking. Then click on Extend Booking button. Please enter your desired extension time. Then pay immediately to confirm your extension. Failing to pay immediately would reverse the extended time and you will have to drop back the vehicle within the originally reserved time. Any Late drop without extension could incur late fees and charges as per Fee Policy.
  • How do I cancel a reservation?
    To cancel your booking, just click on the cancel button on booking details page of your App or contact our support team.
  • If I cancel my reservation, do I still have to pay?
    In order to ensure the safety of our customers and maintain their trust, we offer a free cancellation Before 9 hours of the booking start time. If you cancel within 9 hours of booking start time, a charge of 50% of the total price will be applicable. No refunds are available once your reservation has started.
  • What is the cost of an in-trip extension?
    If you book an extension before 50% of your trip is complete, the per-hour rate for an extension will be the same as your original booking. Once the mid-point is reached, pricing will increase. As the trip ends and you get closer to the end of your reservation time frame, prices will also increase (exact charges are subject to change).
  • Can someone else drive Bidryde during my reservation? What is the process to add co-driver?
    We understand that driving can get tiring on long drives, so we offer customers the option to add a co-driver. If you choose to share driving responsibilities with a friend, please add them through raising a support ticket or emailing us. This will ensure that in case of any damage while your friend is driving, liability is limited. Your friend must be a Bidryde verified user. Please do remember, you are still responsible for the vehicle during your reservation. Additionally, if a non-Bidryde verified person drives the vehicle, Bidryde's insurance coverage would be invalidated and you will face unlimited liability.
  • Who pays for fuel?
    Customers are expected to drop the car at an equal or higher fuel level than the start time. Reimbursement for any excess fuel will be processed to the customer. Refuelling charges are levied if the vehicle is dropped at a lower fuel level than the start time. While ending a trip, vehicle fuel levels should be as close to booking start time as possible to avoid unnecessary charges.
  • Is there a Speed Limit?
    Yes, 120 km/hr. You will be charged a fine of up to INR 2,500 in case you speed above 120 km/h. You will be blacklisted if we find more than two instances of speeding against you. If you speed over 150 km/h, you will be blacklisted permanently.
  • What steps should I take in case the vehicle breaks down or if I meet with an accident?
    In such cases, please notify us Bidryde immediately (by calling) and we will guide you through the entire process. We will coordinate with the road-side assistance and insurance if opted any. Unless unavoidable, please do not leave the scene of the accident until proper support has arrived. You may be required to file/sign formality documents associated with the accident.
  • When will I receive the details of the delivery partner?
    Delivery partner details will be shared two hours prior to your booking start time and end time to your registered mobile number/email. The delivery partner will call you one hour before the booking starts or ends and also after reaching your place.
  • What documents that I need to present in order to take delivery of my Bidryde car?
    In order to take delivery of your car, you will need to show your original driving license and ID proof (same as the ones whose details you submitted in the mobile application). These documents will be verified for validity. In case these documents are unavailable or invalid, your booking will be subject to cancellation. Bidryde's decision in this matter will be final, binding and irrevocable. Please note that driving license printed on A4 sheet of paper (original or otherwise) will not be considered as valid document.
  • What should I do if I notice any external damages on the vehicle at the time of delivery?
    At the time of delivery, our delivery partner will inspect all aspects of vehicle condition and damages. However, if you notice any damage on the vehicle, please notify our delivery partner and also take photos of it for future reference.
  • What happens if the delivery partner comes late?
    A delivery partner will be assigned to your booking two hours before the scheduled start time and end time. If there are any issues with the address, the delivery partner will contact you to confirm. The delivery partner will arrive at your location during the specified start and end times. You can contact the delivery partner using the contact number sent through sms/email. If you are unable to reach the delivery partner, please reach out to our support team for assistance.
  • What will happen to my booking if I failed to connect with the delivery partner during the scheduled start time?
    If you are late by more than 30 minutes after start time, the delivery partner will leave with the car. The booking will get cancelled and no refunds will be applicable.
  • Where will I need to return the car if I failed to connect with the delivery partner during the scheduled end time?
    Our delivery partner will wait for a maximum of 30 minutes for the collection of the vehicle after the scheduled end time. In the event of a delay, please contact our support team to arrange for another delivery partner to collect the vehicle. The trip will only be ended once the vehicle has been collected by our delivery partner, and late fees will be applied for any differences in end times.
  • What if I am not around when the delivery partner arrives, can a friend take the car?
    No, only the Bidryde user who booked the vehicle is authorized to receive it at the specified address. The Bidryde user must carry their original Driver's License and ID proof during the time of the vehicle handover and follow the checklist process with the delivery partner.
  • Can I request car delivery and collection at different locations?
    No, the vehicle will be delivered and collected from the address you selected at the time of booking. If you wish to change the location, please contact our support team for assistance.
  • What happens if I return the car late?
    A high penalty will be applicable for the amount of time you are late. To avoid being charged with this penalty, we advise you to extend your booking well in advance via the app.
  • Can the car be returned early? Do I receive a credit?
    The vehicle that you have booked is reserved exclusively for you from the beginning of your booking until the end time. If you wish to shorten your booking period, you can contact us to arrange an earlier pickup of the vehicle at any time before the end time. However, no charges or refunds will be issued for the original booking amount.
  • How to create an Account with Bidryde?
    Go to our mobile app (Android or iPhone) to make an account with your contact information and upload a photo of your original driver's license and other documents. Also verify your mobile number in Profile details page of your App. Now, you're ready to make a reservation.
  • How old do I have to be to join Bidryde?
    You must be 18 or older to join Bidryde. You must upload your original driver's license and Aadhar card through your APP. These steps are taken to verify your age and identity.
  • How long does it take to create an account with Bidryde, and am I able to drive on the same day that I create the account?
    Creating an account with Bidryde takes less than 2 minutes. We also allow and encourage our users to start driving on the same day they sign up!
  • How do I change my account details?
    Once your driving license has been approved, you can only change your phone number. However, if your driving license has not yet been approved, you can change all other details other than the registered email ID.
  • I am unable to log in to my Bidryde account?
    For the best experience on our app, update to the latest version. If you still encountering any issues, please contact our support team.
  • What type of driver's license is required?
    To become a Bidryde member, you must have a valid Indian driver's license that is original and intended for driving a light motor vehicle (car). Please note that you do not need a specific cab license that is associated with a yellow board plate.
  • What if my Driving License is still not yet approved?
    Once you have uploaded your driving license through the Bidryde app, our team will review and approve it before your booking start time. You can check the status of your driving license on the app. If for any reason our team is unable to approve your license, we will inform you of the additional documents required to complete the approval process. Please note that it may take some time for our team to review your documents, so kindly wait until your license has been approved.
  • What modes of payments are accepted?
    At Bidryde, we offer various payment options such as credit cards, debit cards, net banking, UPI and wallets for your convenience. Payments are required to be made in advance through our mobile app. Sorry, we do not accept cash.
  • If money has been deducted from my bank account but I haven't received any confirmation message or email, does that mean my reservation has been successfully made?
    Kindly wait for a period of 30 minutes, still you do not receive any confirmation message, please feel free to reach out to our support team for assistance.
  • What is the Refuelling charge?
    At the end of your trip, please ensure that the fuel level of the vehicle is the same as it was at the beginning of the trip. If the fuel level is lower than the original level, you will be charged a penalty based on the difference.
  • What if the car is damaged?
    The delivery partner will perform a thorough end check-list of the vehicle, which includes checking for any damages such as dents, scratches, and any other damages. If any new damages are discovered, the customer will be charged for the damages as per the inspection checklist.
  • What if the damage charges on my booking are invalid?
    If you believe there are any damage charges on your account that are incorrect, please do not hesitate to contact our support team.
  • What is the process for making payments during a Bidryde trip?
    If you request for any additional service during your trip, the corresponding fee will be added to your booking and will appear as an outstanding amount. You can make the payment for the outstanding amount by clicking on the respective booking.
  • What are the fines or penalties that Bidryde imposes on its customers?
    To ensure the safety of our cars and provide a great experience, Bidryde has implemented a fee policy. For more information on the fines and penalties, please visit the Fee Policies page on both the website and mobile application.
  • What is traffic violation fee?
    Please ensure you drive safely without breaking any traffic rules. In case of an uncertain event of a traffic violation, Please clear the penalty through the Govt portal to avoid un-necessary charges against your booking and inconvenience to other customers.
  • How should I pay the outstanding amount on a booking?
    You can pay the outstanding amount only through your APP. Click on the booking with an outstanding amount and click on the pay outstanding amount. You can pay using available payment modes.
  • What happens if I don't pay the outstanding amount on my previous Bidryde booking?
    You will not be able to book the vehicle on your next booking unless you have cleared all the outstanding balance from your previous booking. Please ensure you check for pending outstanding amounts before making another booking.
  • How will I receive my refund from Bidryde?
    If the payment was made through a wallet account, the refund process will be faster and typically settled within a day or two. However, if the payment was made through any other payment mode, the refund will be settled in 7 working days.
